BEFORE YOU BEGIN

Your OEM questions, answered

Practical details to help you prepare your first inquiry.

What information should I send first?

Your target country, sales channel, rice preference, pack size and estimated volume are enough to begin. Share a reference product or packaging artwork if available.

What is the minimum order quantity?

MOQ depends on the rice, packaging material, print configuration and order requirements. Rice and printed packaging may have different minimums; our team reviews both before quoting.

Can I use my own brand and artwork?

Yes, with brand authorization and approved artwork. We coordinate packaging development and review; the buyer approves final label content and destination requirements.

Can pack sizes and materials be customized?

Options are reviewed against your market, production feasibility, packaging supplier requirements and order volume. Final availability is confirmed for each project.

How are samples and timing confirmed?

Discuss the required sample and cooking evaluation with our team. Lead time is reviewed after rice, artwork, packaging, volume and production scheduling are defined.

SAMPLES & YOUR FIRST ORDER

A practical starting point for your rice order.

From evaluating the rice to planning your order: confirm each condition for your project.

1–2 kg

Reference samples

1–2 kg per selected variety for grain and cooking evaluation. Rice samples are complimentary; courier costs are paid by the buyer and confirmed before dispatch.

Target preparation: 3–5 working days after sample availability and requirements are confirmed. Courier transit is additional.

2 kg

OEM & retained samples

Custom rice, packaging and artwork samples are scoped and priced for the project before work begins. At loading, a 2 kg pre-shipment sample is sealed and retained by VPP; applicable inspection reports are shared for the order.

1 × 20′ FCL

Starting quantity

One 20-foot FCL per rice variety and pack format is the starting export quantity. Indicative loading: 23–27 MT, subject to packing, equipment and route restrictions.

Smaller trial orders and printed packaging MOQ are reviewed individually.

30% / 70%

Payment & timing

The starting proposal for a first order is 30% T/T deposit and 70% against agreed scanned shipping documents, with document release defined in the contract.

Planning target: 3–4 weeks after the contract, deposit and required approvals are complete. Printed packaging may require an additional 2–3 weeks; milestones are confirmed in the quotation.

These starting terms support project planning. The signed proposal defines the actual MOQ, costs, payment, shipment date and inspection scope. Ask John and Brian to review your destination and requirements.
