02 / VERIFY

Four checks before you rely on it

Use these with any Halal certificate, ours included.

1 · Number and issuer

Enter GHC.219 on the issuer’s verification page and compare the details shown.

2 · Legal entity

The certified company name and registration number must match the seller on your contract and invoice.

3 · Facility

The certified address must be where your rice is processed and packed. If part of an order is packed with an approved partner, ask us to state it in writing before you order.

4 · Validity and scope

The shipment date must fall inside the validity period, and your variety must be on the product list.

03 / YOUR MARKET

Recognition in your market: what we can and cannot tell you

Check acceptance in your own country.

The certificate lists the bodies that GHC states recognise its certification: JAKIM (Malaysia), BPJPH (Indonesia), GAC (GCC), CICOT (Thailand), MUIS (Singapore), EIAC/MoIAT (UAE) and the World Halal Council. Acceptance rules differ by country and by product category, and they change. We do not claim that one certificate is automatically accepted everywhere. Ask your importer or authority what they require for rice in your market; we will send the certificate and answer questions about our production.

04 / WHICH RICE

Rice covered by the certificate

Compare grain length and use on each product page, or on our rice varieties page.

ST25

7.2–7.4 mm whole kernels

ST21

05 / PACKAGING

Halal on your packaging

The Halal mark on a pack is agreed in the order documents and artwork approval, and used only on rice from the certified production. See our guide to OEM and private label packing and the Halal certificate scope guide.

06 / BUYER QUESTIONS

Questions buyers ask

Short answers for purchasing and compliance teams.

Is rice Halal by nature?

Rice is a plant product. The certificate matters because it covers the facility, handling and cross-contact controls under a recognised standard; some buyers and markets ask for it, others do not.

Does the certificate cover every shipment?

Only rice produced and packed within the certified facility and scope, within the validity period.

Can I see the certificate before I order?

Yes. Ask Brian or John, or open the certificate from this page.
